1974 Triumph TR6
Triumph freshened up its ageing TR range in 1968 and introduced the Karmann styled TR6. The TR6 sported a more aggressive body with revised front and rear end styling. The fuel injected, 150bhp, 2498cc engine carried over from the previous TR5 model, and overdrive on 3rd and 4th became standard from 1974 onwards.

Our TR6 was first registered in September 1974, and remains in its original colour of Pimento Red, with black leather interior. The car was completely restored by renowned specialist John Jeffries of Worcester, and has completed just 8,000 miles since.

The engine has been built to 150bhp spec, and the car features uprated suspension bushes and adjustable Spax dampers. Just as well, as SHP 691N was driven in 2001 by John Surtees for a cover article in Classic & Sports Car magazine, who enjoyed his drive immensely.
